A busy week in Germany with a wonderful meeting!

For a long long time my father- 80 now- had expressed the wish to see all his children together one more time ! Well...it's 5 of us..and organizing all on one date wasn't the easiest thing!
But we finally managed and had a wonderful week in the end of May in the beautiful town of Saarlouis in southern Germany, right on the borders to Luxemburg and France!
So..we got ready , "all " of us! :)

In combination with this visit and due to more convenient flight times and easier departure airport  for me towards Athens on the way back, i had the chance to finally meet in person my very dear email/facebook friend Inge from Frankfurt. ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Minimagicblog/418497834939294?fref=ts ) !
We just had a few hours for our meeting, but it was overwhelmingly wonderful !
It was so funny before, when we talked about the visit on facebook...both of us - openly- wondering, if we would finally like each other when being together in reality :) :)
But having built up a very close friendship with all our messages during nearly 2 years..there was no such problem! On the contrary ...it was ever so lovely, heartwarming and moving to be with her and her great family !
Both, her and me are shy of showing pictures of ourselves...but a little "cutout" of us on that special afternoon can give you an idea! :)

Inge could easily turn her workspace ( and house :) ..into a museum, there are so many mini-treasures to see! :) 

Well, we took a tour through her dollhouse, better "Sonja"s house"..as Sonja is Inge's doll who lives in a beautiful modern dollhouse! 

Many pieces in there are handmade by my friend or other friends from our wonderful mini-world, some pieces also bought or found! 

Now..there were many highlights, but Praline absolutely LOVED the modern stove, which even had lights inside, as well as the washing machine...where we sent Caramel to to have a look...he had to wash his paws anyway in te bathroom after such a long journey! :) 

Inge had made tiny beautiful handbags for the "girls"...

and Caramel very quickly found a new friend, "Luigi" , who is the owner of Inge's newest masterpiece..a Pizza restaurant, where all things are beautifully matching, and one can smell Pizza from faraway! :) 

After our tour, they all sat there and enjoyed some wine and a lot of tasty pizza! :)

A most wonderful visit !

After we had left, Sonja finally had some time to study the map of Athens...who knows, perhaps she will visit us some day? :)

( i should mention that both Sonja and Lisi are handmade, fully movable,  dolls by Inge!  :) :) 

Caramel is a darling! :) Caramel ist ein ganz Lieber! :)

AND is sure that with a BIG watercan...the flowerpots (from paperstripes) will get flowers soon! :) He needed Praline to carry it! It was so heavy!
( all are made from paper, the "real life" one,too! I wanted to try out to make the same in mini and big...i didn't put much effort into the painting of the jugs..you can see that! )

Er hat dran gedacht, die Blumen zu giessen! UND ist sicher, dass es mit einer GROSSEN Kanne doch klappen muss, dass die Blumentoepfe (aus Papierstreifen) fertig werden! ;) Er brauchte aber dazu Praline, die Kanne war echt schwer! 
(alle aus Papier, die "lebnsgrosse" auch! Ich wollte ausprobieren, sowohl in mini als auch in gross das Gleiche zu machen..und habe ich mich aber mit dem Anmalen nicht sooo sehr angestrengt, wie man ja sehen kann!  ) 
Fuer die grosse MINI- Kanne habe ich diese Anleitungen..in etwa ..benutzt. Es ist eigentlich fuer eine Bauern-Milch-Kanne, http://mahupe.free.fr/PotLait.html

After a good night's sleep...here we are again, fresh and happy!:) You can see all wonderful presents now, i also put most in their places already :)  Many pics..we all love them, don't we? :)

Starting from 1936 with "Wassertroepfen" - "Little drop of water", which is close to Praline! The colours are very faded after so many years...but the insides are still beautiful...you will seee them in a  future post as background! 

Ab 1936 mit "Wassertroepfchen"! Leider sind die Farben sehr verblasst nach all den Jahren, aber die Innenseiten sind noch wunderschoen...in spaeteren Eintragen werdet ihr die sehen!

After all the work today...making books, taking photos, picking up all the tiny items from the shelf (which fell down again and again...)...Praline needs a rest with something very relaxing to read! ( Just..if you wonder, yes she can read German! So does Caramel!!! :)
Caramel thought that it was his turn..tto get near to the sweets from all photos1 So he grabbed the whole bowl AND the new spoon, and made himself comfortable in bed...wishing all of you a GOOD NIGHT! :)
Nach der ganzen Arbeit heute...Buecher machen, Fotos machen, immer wieder die winzig kleinen Sachen vom Regal aufheben ( die natuerlich gern runterfielen..) ....braucht Praline nun Entspannung mit etwas Nettem zum Lesen! ( Falls ihr euch wundert...doch sie kann Deutsch lesen, und Caramel auch! ) :)
Caramel meinte , dass er jetzt aber dringend an der Reihe war, in die Naehe der Suessigkeiten von den Fotos zu kommen! Also hat er sich die ganze Schuessel geschnappt MIT dem neuen grossen Kuechenloeffel und hat sich ganz gemuetlich in sein Bettchen verzoegen, und wuenscht allen eine GUTE NACHT!

Caramel loves his hat, put on his boots...but looks quite different from "Paddington" now! Never mind..i think, he wants a suitcase ,too ! He has made plans for next winter!

Starting the "boots" they all had some fun looking through the things to use. we had Monika's tutorial in mind ( from http://puppenstubennostalgie.blogspot.gr/ ) about rubber wellingtons...but we ended up with another "style"...Caramel's legs are not as small as they show! :) And i wanted his boots to come off and on!

Jacke, Stiefel, Hut...und Caramel! Jacket, Boots , hat ..and Caramel!

a small traveler? ein kleiner Reisender? 

Caramel gefaellt sein Hut, er hat auch seine Stiefel angezogen...aber er sieht doch nicht so ganz wie "Paddington" aus! Ist aber nicht schlimm...ich glaube er braucht ein Koefferchen! Er da so einige Plaene fuer naechsten Winter! 

Beim Aussuchen und Durchsuchen des Materials gab's einiges an Spass fuer Alle...eigentlich wollte ich Monikas Anleitungen fuer Gummistiefel nehmen ( http://puppenstubennostalgie.blogspot.gr/ )...aber dann wurde es doch ein anderer "Stil" ..denn Caramels Beinchen sind garnicht so schmal und klein ,wie es vielleicht aussieht! :) Ausserdem soll er ja seine Stiefel an-und ausziehen koennen!
