The old childhood books of my mother! Alte Kinderbuecher von meiner Mutter!

Starting from 1936 with "Wassertroepfen" - "Little drop of water", which is close to Praline! The colours are very faded after so many years...but the insides are still beautiful...you will seee them in a  future post as background! 

Ab 1936 mit "Wassertroepfchen"! Leider sind die Farben sehr verblasst nach all den Jahren, aber die Innenseiten sind noch wunderschoen...in spaeteren Eintragen werdet ihr die sehen!

After all the work today...making books, taking photos, picking up all the tiny items from the shelf (which fell down again and again...)...Praline needs a rest with something very relaxing to read! ( Just..if you wonder, yes she can read German! So does Caramel!!! :)
Caramel thought that it was his turn..tto get near to the sweets from all photos1 So he grabbed the whole bowl AND the new spoon, and made himself comfortable in bed...wishing all of you a GOOD NIGHT! :)
Nach der ganzen Arbeit heute...Buecher machen, Fotos machen, immer wieder die winzig kleinen Sachen vom Regal aufheben ( die natuerlich gern runterfielen..) ....braucht Praline nun Entspannung mit etwas Nettem zum Lesen! ( Falls ihr euch wundert...doch sie kann Deutsch lesen, und Caramel auch! ) :)
Caramel meinte , dass er jetzt aber dringend an der Reihe war, in die Naehe der Suessigkeiten von den Fotos zu kommen! Also hat er sich die ganze Schuessel geschnappt MIT dem neuen grossen Kuechenloeffel und hat sich ganz gemuetlich in sein Bettchen verzoegen, und wuenscht allen eine GUTE NACHT!

(it could have remained black...but (again) i wasn't very tidy with the glue...so i preferred to make it over with fabric and paper! )
uebriggebliebene Visiten-Karten, kraeftiges Papier und schoen! mehrere davon, gefalten..haben ein einfaches kleines Regal ergeben..ich brauchte doch etwas zum Aufstellen der NEUEN kleinen MINI-KOCHBUECHER! :)
( es haette auch schwarz bleiben koennen...aber da ich (wieder einmal) nicht soooo ordentlich mit dem Kleber war, hab ich es lieber verschoenert! )

Some days ago..there was : "whoot sunday! " - Vor ein paar Tagen war : "Super" Sonntag!

Today...i am adding "Whoot-Sunday" ...just as Jaz says on her blog and  in her email! :)
Last sunday we  talked via Skype for more than an hour...and could have gone on for many hours more! So this was SEEING my dear dear friend, hearing her voice, getting to meet Chester, having a look around on her beautiful veranda and seeing all that huge Australian space around! Trees and flowers!
Writing this post now..i am still amazed with technology, internet and skype....who would have been able to imagine all this years ago, when making oversea-calls would cost a fortune? Taking part in the mini-blog-world has brought so many wonderful things to me....and now even being able to SEE a friend on the other side of the world! I think i need a drink now! Toasting to you, dear Jaz-sister, sooooooooooo far away...BUT also soooooooooooo very near!

Heute kann ich den "Super-Sonntag" hinzufuegen...wie Jazzi auf ihrem Blog und in ihrer email schrieb! :)
Letzten Sonntag haben wir ueber eine Stunde lang ueber Skype miteinander gesprochen...und haetten noch ein paar Stunden weitermachen koennen!
So konnte ich meine Freundin SEHEN, ihre Stimme hoeren, sogar ihren kleinen Hund Chester kennenlernen, mich auf ihrer Veranda etwas umgucken, weites australisches Land sehen, Baeume und Blumen!
Beim Schreiben jetzt bin ich immer noch ueberwaeltigt ueber die ganze Technik, Internet und Skype...das so etwas jetzt moeglich ist....das haette man sich ja vor Jahren nie nie vorstellen koennen1 Damals kostete ein Anruf ins Ausland ein Vermoegen!
Das Teilhaben an der Mini-Blogwelt hat so viele schoene Dinge mit sich gebracht...und nun sogar, dass ich eine liebe Freundin SEHEN kann, die am anderen Ende der Welt lebt!
Da muss ich mir erst mal ein Glaesschen zu einschenken..und dann auf dich, Jaz-Schwester, anstossen!
Sooooooooo weit weg, aber auch soooooooooo nah!

right size for Caramel! die richtige Groesse fuer Caramel!

i "met" a German lady through a facebook-group about minis. She was looking for somebody to make an old stove for her in 1:24 ! I offered to give it a try...also having in mind, that if she might like something more professional or different...Caramel will be very happy to have his "right-size" kitchen! As you can see...he has already started making cookies! :) 

These old stoves are called "Kachelofen or Kachelherd" in German, meaning "stoves/cookers with tiles" , they were very common in older days- perhaps still are in many houses today, more modern , but still ever so cosy and comfortable! I am sure all Dutch and Scandinavian friends here will know! :) 

As i said, this is a first try, also first time i tried making something so very small. I had found the measuring of a real one , which was 1 meter 55cm in height,1 meter 45 cm broad,  stove and heater together...so i scaled that down to approximately 6,5 cm high. Originally these pieces are "stuck" together..but i preferred to make them seperately in order to see in which way they look better!  How good that in a dollhouse you don't have to be so strict about the oven-pipes! :) 

The "tiles" i composed after having found pictures on the internet, and printed some sheets...seperate "real tiles" will look nicer of course! 

Now..1:24 is really small...even my smallest "cook-book" looks large here! :) 

There are many tiny details still missing...but i just had to show you! :) 

just in order to compare the sizes, 1:12 and 1:24 !

At last..a post for my Greek followers! Caramel's new outfit! Caramels neue Ausstattung!

Caramel loves his hat, put on his boots...but looks quite different from "Paddington" now! Never mind..i think, he wants a suitcase ,too ! He has made plans for next winter!

Starting the "boots" they all had some fun looking through the things to use. we had Monika's tutorial in mind ( from http://puppenstubennostalgie.blogspot.gr/ ) about rubber wellingtons...but we ended up with another "style"...Caramel's legs are not as small as they show! :) And i wanted his boots to come off and on!

Jacke, Stiefel, Hut...und Caramel! Jacket, Boots , hat ..and Caramel!

a small traveler? ein kleiner Reisender? 

Caramel gefaellt sein Hut, er hat auch seine Stiefel angezogen...aber er sieht doch nicht so ganz wie "Paddington" aus! Ist aber nicht schlimm...ich glaube er braucht ein Koefferchen! Er da so einige Plaene fuer naechsten Winter! 

Beim Aussuchen und Durchsuchen des Materials gab's einiges an Spass fuer Alle...eigentlich wollte ich Monikas Anleitungen fuer Gummistiefel nehmen ( http://puppenstubennostalgie.blogspot.gr/ )...aber dann wurde es doch ein anderer "Stil" ..denn Caramels Beinchen sind garnicht so schmal und klein ,wie es vielleicht aussieht! :) Ausserdem soll er ja seine Stiefel an-und ausziehen koennen!
