starting the post with an explanation in Greek, as all are curious here, too!
kurz zu Anfang Erklaerungen auf Griechisch, denn hier sind natuerlich auch alle neugierig!

and now : here she is, yes MINI-JAZZI came to Greece first! 

She arrived very very late last night ! 

After happily and ever soooooooooooo pretty looking, she climbed out of her little suitcase-bag and only wanted one thing...her bed!

 Oh, dear, she was so tired after a whole week on the plane, in cars and lorries, post-offices, having shown her tiny passport at least 10 times... and finally the (very nice\) mailman!

Praline put her to bed, brought some nice and cool water for her to keep on her bedside...and her eyes closed the moment she put her little head on the pillow! 

Tiptoing all came to stand at her bed and just get a short look at her, with the guard stricly allowing them only some minutes...not to disturb her sleep! 

It is very warm in Athens, that's why her own purple blanket remained inside the suitcase...she would be too hot with it! But Praline advised her to get out the skirt for the morning...w'll see about a t-shirt...something will be found! These are the first pictures...i am sure..you will believe it: it was like welcoming a real little visitor! :) My family was thrilled ( all men..) , and we all together admired all Mini-Jazzi's luggage one by one piece...my second son imediately guessing (right)  that she must have brought at least 3 pairs of shoes! :) 

There are a million things to tell...but right now , i 'll leave you with the pictures of yesterday night! 

We are getting Breakfast ready now...and have to see about the bathroom, which i think-  will be just fine for the little princess! :) 

Now.......you might wonder.why i am not loudly shouting how very very surprised i am about her arriving here first! :)............??????????????????

Well....Jazzi and me...yes, we had a little secret ! 

Some time ago, before Mini-Jazzi was off to the worldtrip,we had arranged that she would come here first because the whole idea had sort of started with my suggestion...following a post Jazzi had written in her blog a long time ago! Meeting all you nice people through the blogs, i had been sighing....o, just how wonderful it would be to be able to visit each other in real life....but then, sigh again...and again...it is not possible because of soooo many reasons!

 We had then thought of sending each other some souvenirs...and then JAZZI CAME UP WITH MINI-JAZZI'S WORLDTRIP!!!!! :)  

ISN'T SHE A WONDERFUL PERSON?!!! 

The second reason is, that next to all wonderful souvenirs from Jazzi from Australia, you will also all get Souvenirs from Greece,too...and they will now go into the package,too...and will slowly make their way to all of you! 

Dear Jazzi...i can't thank you enough for all your planning, working  and preparations to make this beautiful idea possible!  God bless!!!!

I have been following the blog "Studying abroad in Greece" for some time now, finding it really interesting and serious!
After commenting several times on various subjects, the authors asked, if i would like to contribute with some little text having in mind youth-crises-Greece! ...which i did today thinking of the horrible fires here in Greece again..in Spain, Italy, Portugal...and so many other places in the world.
It is ever so exciting to see one's own words published somewhere else...i had to share it with you! The pictures published are also mine. I had some help from the authors with the text, in order to form it into a "readable" version  and would very much like to thank them!

Ein anderer Aspekt heute...einge Gedanken von mir.....veroeffentlicht! 
Seit einiger Zeit lese ich regelmaessig einen Blog ueber "Studieren im Ausland, in Griechenland" . Es wird dort sehr gut berichtet ueber viele verschiedene Themen, die das Leben hier betreffen. Nachdem ich oefters mal dort einen Kommentar geschrieben habe, fragten mich die Blog-Autoren ob ich nicht ab und zu einen Artikel zusteuern moechte im Zusammenhang Jugend-Krise-Griechenland. ...Was ich dann heute tat, im Zussammenhang mit den schlimmen Braenden ,die leider wieder vorgekommen sind, hier in Griechenland, in Spanien, Italien, Portugal..und an so vielen Orten auf der Welt.
Es ist aufregend seinen eigenen Text woanders veroeffentlicht zu sehen...dass wollte ich gern mit euch teilen! Die Bilder im Artikel sind auch von mir aus unserer Gegend.
Mit Hilfe der Blog-Autoren haben wir meinen Text "lesbar" gemacht..und dafuer moechte ich mich natuerlich auch bedanken!

Κατι διαφορετικό σημερα...δημοσιεύτηκαν μερικες σκεψεις μου!
Εδω και καιρο διαβαζω ενα μπλογκ που ασχολειται με την Ελλαδα, απο την οπτικη γωνια δυο ξενων καθηγητων ( ο ενας εχει Ελληνικη καταγωγη!!) οι οποιοι οργανωνων προγραμματα σπουδων στην Ελλαδα για ξενους φοιτητες. Βρισκω το μπλογκ τους πολυ καλό και σοβαρο. Αφου σχολίασα μερικές φορες πανω σε διαφορα ζητηματα , με ρωτησαν αν ηθελα να συμβάλω καμια φορα με ενα δικο μου κειμενακι, κυριως πάνω σε θέματα νεολαια-κριση-Ελλαδα.
Σκεφτόμενη τις καταστροφικές πυρκαγιες εδω, όσο και σε άλλες χώρες όπως Ιταλια, Ισπανια, Πορτογαλία και σε πολλά άλλα μερη ακομα ...έγραψα τις σκέψεις μου.
Το να δεις ενα δικο σου κειμενο δημοσιευμενο αλλού..ειναι πολύ συναρπαστικό..για αυτό ειπα να το μοιραστω μαζι σας! Είναι στα Αγγλικα...ελπίζω να μπορέσετε να το δειτε!

...the white tiny mugs are nice, too! the map is foldable (and unfoldable..!) , with map/pictures on both sides! size 6x8 cm , can be made on order! ( already making some for friends on Corfu who run another little hotel!) 

die weissen kleinen Becher sind auch schoen! 
die Karte ist faltbar, mit Karte/Bildern auf beiden Seiten. Die Groesse ist 6x8cm, koennen auf Bestellung gemacht werden. ( bin schon an der naechsten Auflage, fuer Freunde dort, die ein anderes, kleines Hotel haben!).

i am trying to get them more even and better...today i tried "rolling " the clay around a small piece of plastic drinking straw...i cut off  a piece in the size of a mug...and that worked much easier! Next try tomorrow ..to get them smoother! :)

ich versuche, die Becher besser und schoener hinzubekommen...und hatte heute den Ton um ein kleines Stueck abgeschnittenen Plastik-Trinkhalm "gewickelt! Das ging viel einfacher dann! Nun muss ich sie noch glatterhinkriegen...dazu gehts dann morgen weiter! :)

Anleitung fuer Mini-Becher...natuerlich nicht sooo einfach wie es aussieht...aber ich musste es probieren, denn ein "Mini-Souvenir" sollte entstehen! :) 
Caramel mag den Becher...waehrend er eifrig die Karte studiert...Wohin gehn wir mit Mini-Jazzi?!! :)

Today is the most important and holy day for the orthodax church, celebrating Maria! It is also the nameday of all Marias, Despinas, Panajiotas ...and the male names of course!
As there are many "Marias" among my dear followers : Best wishes to all and a Greek : Chronia polla! Many happy years!

Heute ist der bedeutenste griechische Feiertag der orthodoxen Kirche, zur Ehrung Marias! Und es ist natuerlich der Namenstag fuer alle Marias, Despinas, P:anajiotas...und die entsprechenden maennlichen Namen.
Unter meinen lieben Blogbegleitern sind viele "Marias"! Daher Allen , alle guten Wuenschen und ein griechisches "Chronia Polla'..was soviel heisst, wie "Viele gute Jahre"!

ein paar Tage vor dem 21. August.......  Die Weltreise hat angefangen!

as the mystery journey is well on its way...better to get ready! :) Mini-Jazzi will need to rest after her long journey...whenver she might come!

• We did some geography, too! This is an old "savingbox"...perhaps it's purpose had been to keep the savings for a world-trip???? Looks like it! :) 
• Praline and Caramel are ready for the welcome! They just posed to let you know, because until Mini-Jazzi will arrive...they will have to go back to everyday-life for a while! But there are still some more photos to show in the next days! 

waehrend die Reise schon angefangen hat...ist es ja besser, fertig zu sein! ;) Mini-Jazzi wird sich ausruhen wollen nach ihrer langen Reise...wann immer sie auch kommen mag! 

• Erdkunde haben wir auch gemacht! Das ist eine alte "Spardose"...vielleicht war sie ja sowieso dazu bestimmt, die Ersparnisse fuer eine Weltreise aufzubewahren??? Sieht fasst so aus! 
• Praline und Caramel sind fertig zum Willkommen! Das wollten sie doch schonmal zeigen! Denn, bis Mini-Jazzi endgueltig kommt, werden sie wieder in den "Alltag" umsiedeln! Aber morgen gibts noch weitere Photos !

300 followers ...what a happy moment!! :) 300 Blogbegleiter...eine riesige Freude!

I am sure..Mini-Jazzi's worldtrip brought  a lot of attention to our blogs, together with the preparations...and photos of it! There i am today...with 300 followers! There are some, where i can't see a blog..and there might be some who remain annonymous...but the number says 300! Thank you all soooo much, it means so much to me and makes me  really happy!
As souvenir-making is also under very much "construction"...there will be one more "package" of souvenirs from Greece that will go to one of you, in a Giveaway...soon to be announced! (please...let me finish the guesthouse first!!! :) won't be long!!! ) .There will also be something differnt in the giveaway..in case someone wins..who takes part in the worldtrip and will get it anyway! :)

Ich bin sicher, dass Mini-Jazzis Weltreise grosse Aufmerksamkeit erregt hat in unserer Blogwelt, auch mit allen Vorbereitungen und Photos davon! ...Da finde ich mich also heute mit 300 Blogbegleitern! Bei einigen kann ich keinen Blog finden, einige sind auch annonym...aber die Nummer sagt 300!!! Ganz ganz Herzlichen Dank, es bedeutet mir ehrlich sehr viel und ich bin absolut happy! :) 
Da ich sowieso beim Souvenir-Machen bin...wird es noch ein extra Set davon geben, das demnaechst unter euch Blogbegleitern verlost werden wird! update on the guesthouse in photos tomorrow...but there are curtains, some decorations, "improved duty-conditions" for our guard...and some more!

in the meantime, Praline started showing the guard around, a good guard needs to know ALL places, doesn't he? Here you see them in Caramel's fun-bathroom, with Praline asking him "Did you bring your bathing-suit?" 

in der Zwischenzeit zeigt  Praline unserem Wachmann ihr Haus, denn ein guter Wachmann muss sich ja ueberall auskennen! Hier seht ihr sie in Caramels Badezimmer ,wo Praline ihn gerade fragt: "Hast du auch deine Badehose mitgebracht? "

get a glimpse....a (beach/summer) Castle? ein kleiner Einblick.....ein (Strand/Sommer) Schloss?

remember Caramel's plans? ..My home will be my castle!
As it was too hot to think about anything else...he decided on a "Beach-Summer-Castle" ! But there is a fireplace, too...just in case! The windows will get some shutters later...right now we need the wind!!
With Mini-Jazzi's  visit somewhere in the future...he wanted something special! His house will also serve as guesthouse and  meeting point of all friends!
Now...there was a problem.... ( if we exept the colours and interior design of the house...which changed three times until he could make up his mind...:) :
Caramel is very small....and Mini-Jazzi very tall!! How to fit both of them?????
Here is what he came up with!

erinnert ihr euch? ...Mein Haus ist mein Schloss!
Weil es zu warm war um an Anderes auch nur  zu denken...hat er sich fuer ein "Strand/Sommer-Schloss entschieden! Aber es gibt auch einen Kamin...fuer den Fall..! An die Fenster werden noch Fensterlaeden kommen...jetzt sind wir erstmal gluecklich ueber Wind!
Mit Mini-Jazzis Besuch irgendwann...wollte er etwas Besonderes! Sein Haus ist naemlich auch das Gaestehaus und Treffpunkt fuer alle Freunde!
Dann gabs aber ein Problem...( abgesehen von den Farben und der Innen-Decoration...was dreimal geaendert wurde bis er sich endlich entscheiden konnte!!) :
Caramel ist sehr klein ...und Mini-Jazzi gross!! Wie sollen sie beide reinpassen in das Haus????
Hier ist ,was er sich ueberlegt hat!

Before...Vorher...

Now...Caramel is small ( well , Praline isn't much bigger either...) , but Mini-Jazzi should also feel comfortable! So, we've got downstairs and upstairs!!! ...(stairs to come...don't search for them!!!) 

Caramel choose upstairs...and already feels like a little "King"!!.. ( he seems to love the "castle-look"!! ) 

Mini-Jazzi has got a lot of space downstairs..AND fits (hopefully) into the little livingroom! How  about that????!!!! :) 

We are still under "heavy construction, and still have a lot of painting and matching things to do...but the main building is done! 

Next ...all here are quite concerned about Mini-Jazzi's well-being while her stay here...so we thought and thought about how to solve these problems...and then asked our long-time little British friend to help out! He fully understood Caramel's concern about being so small -compared to others- and how to keep Mini-Jazzi safe....and he offered to be  standing watch  during her visit! 

Until then, Praline already got a MAP of Athens ready for him, so he can do some sightseeing until his duties will start! :)

Caramel ist ja klein ( ehm..Praline ist auch nicht viel groesser..), aber Mini-Jazzi soll sich ja auch wohlfuehlen! Also haben wir OBEN und UNTEN gebaut! ( Treppe kommt noch, braucht ihr noch nicht nach suchen!). Caramel hat natuerlich "oben" gewaehlt...und fuehlt sich schon wie ein kleiner Koenig! ( ich glaube, ihm gefaellt dieses "Schloss-artige..!) . Mini-Jazzi hat unten prima Platz..und passt auch (hoffentlich) ins Wohnzimmer! 
Wir sind noch "sehr in Bau" und muessen noch viel anmalen und zusammen-passend machen...aber  die Hauptarbeit ist schonmal getan!

Dann hatten wir aber noch ein Problem! Alle hier sind sehr darum besorgt, dass Mini-Jazzi hier auch sicher und unbelaestigt ihren Besuch verbringen kann  :) .... ( sie ist ja so huebsch...) und da haben wir wirklich nachgedacht und gegruebelt...und dann unseren langjaehrigen britischen Freund gefragt, ob er nicht aushelfen kann! Er hat sofort zugesagt, denn er versteht, dass Caramel sich etwas hilflos fuehlt ,weil er so klein ist! Also hat unser Freund angeboten, Wache zu stehen waehrend Mini-Jazzis Besuch!
 Bis es soweit ist...wer weiss, wann Mini-Jazzi kommt, ...hat Praline schonmal einen Stadtplan von Athen fuer ihn! So kann er sich alle Sehenswuerdigleiten in Ruhe ansehen bis dahin!

She will need a guestbed...perhaps even a room? what will she want do here? ...so much to think about!!! :)

Auf Jazzis Blog kann man die Reisevorbereitungen verfolgen...und natuerlich auch die Reise, die bald losgehen wird! Jazzi hat eine extra-Seite dafuer eingerichtet! Und hier haben wir schon eine lange Liste "Was zu tun ist" angefangen....sie wird  ja ein Gaestebett brauchen, vielleicht haette sie auch gern ein eigenes Zimmer? Was moechte sie hier machen??? ...da gibt es viel zu denken!!! :)

Well ...we sat down, got  the calender out ( to be able to make crosses on the days...as soon as the journey will start!!! :) , made our papers and pencils, and will  start putting things down now!
Mini-Jazzi will come from Australia...which is very special to me. I have told you before about our family's friends overthere (see http://mikropragmatakia.blogspot.gr/2011/06/rebecca-with-rebeccas-collections-is.html) , and today i am sharing something special with you...in the background you can see the very first postcard my mother's dear Australien friend sent to her (living in Cologne,Germany)  from Australia in 1955 after moving back to her homeland  after some years spent in  Germany! It has been a life-time friendship for 60 years!
I am sure that  through the beautiful blog-contacts we are all enjoying, and  with Jazzi sending off Mini-Jazzi with her suitcase full of souvenirs to so many of us we will experience and share a lot of happiness and joy! Filling up the suitcase again and sending her off to the next step of the journey will be just wonderful and exciting!
Let's hope that with our tiny efforts of love and affection we can also start building little pieces of lifetime friendships!

So, wir haben uns an den Tisch gesetzt, den Kalender rausgeholt ( damit wir Kreuzchen machen koennen, sobald die Reise losgeht!:), haben uns Papier und Bleistifte zurechtgemacht...und werden mal mit den Listen anfangen!
Mini Jazzi wird aus Australien kommen...was mir sehr viel bedeutet. Ich hatte hier schon einmal ueber die Freunde unserer Familie dort erzaehlt (zum nachlesen hier http://mikropragmatakia.blogspot.gr/2011/06/rebecca-with-rebeccas-collections-is.html) ...und heute zeige ich euch etwas Besonderes.
Im Hintergrund seht ihr die erste Postkarte, die die treue Freundin meiner Mutter ihr 1955 aus Australien nach Deutschland geschickt hat- nachdem sie nach einem mehrjaehrigen Aufenthalt in Deutschland in ihre Heimat zurueckging. Daraus wurde eine Freundschaft fuers ganze Leben, ueber 60 Jahre lang!
Ich bin mir sicher, dass durch so viele schoene Blogbekanntschaften und dadurch ,dass Jazzi Mini-Jazzi mit dem Koffer voll Souvenirs auf die weite Reise schickt, wir alle viel Schoenes und Froehliches erleben und weitergeben koennen werden! Das wird dann richtig aufregend, den Koffer auszupacken...und wieder zu fuellen und weiter zu schicken!
Wollen wir hoffen, dass wir mit unseren kleinen, winzigen Zeichen der Freundschaft und Liebe auch kleine Teile von Freundschaft aufbauen koennen!

Und ein GROSSES DANKESCHOEN an alle, die so lieb kommentiert haben zu Pralines Tee-Party Vorbereitungen! (die weitergehen!! :)

tiny specials...winzige Besonderheiten!

Early morning in Praline's kitchen....
preparing the tea-party..is a big enterprise for Praline! :)
counting cups and saucers, glasses, cookies, cakes,  because there will be quite a few guests!
But when i set my eyes ....and my heart :)...on two ever so tiny kitchen-towels some days ago...i knew that all preperations will go just fine!
 I have been following http://fourlittlewalls.blogspot.gr/ and had had a look at her new little internet-shop...and fell in love with these tiny towls...perfect for Praline and a very sweet memory of my dear mother, who had ALWAYS loved such towels and had collected them from all over the world! London had always  special to us...so here we are with two "London-towels"!!! They were smooth and even of course when arriving, but now Praline has already done some drying with them!! :)
The other nice aspect of this purchase is, that i was the first customer of Kat's shop http://www.fourlittlewalls.com...and will keep the invoice with Nr.1 as a nice little memory! ...even if it was a "very tiny" invoice...:)

Frueh morgens in Pralines Kueche...
Die Vorbereitungen fuer die Tee-Party ...sind eine grosse Herausforderung fuer Praline ;)
Sie zaehlt Tassen und Teller, Glaeser, Kuchen und Kekse , denn es werden einige Gaeste erwartet! 
Aber als ich vor ein paar Tagen die kleinen Kuechentuecher sah...und ins Herz schloss...da war klar, dass es mit den Vorbereitung ganz super klappen wird! 
Seit einiger Zeit bin ich Blog-Begleiter bei http://fourlittlewalls.blogspot.gr/ und hatte mir ihren Internet-shop angesehen. Da fiel mein Auge auf diese kleinen Handtuecher...perfekt fuer Praline und ein so schoenes kleines  Andenken an meine Mutter, die solche Kuechentuecher liebte  und sie von allen Reisen mitbrachte als Souvenirs.London war immer etwas Besonderes fuer uns gewesen...und nun habe ich sie hier : zwei "London" Geschirrtuecher! :) 
Sie waren natuerlich glatt und huebsch eingepackt, aber nun hat Praline ja schon einiges damit abgetrocknet! :) 
Ein weiterer netter Aspekt dieses "Grosseinkaufs" ist , dass ich Kat's erste Kundin in ihrem Shop war , http://www.fourlittlewalls.com, auch eine Rechnung mit Nr 1 bekommen habe ( fuer den "winzig" Betrag...) , die ich als kleine Erinnerung aufbewahren werde!

heute morgen sah ich, dass Jazzi aus Australien etwas ganz Tolles geplant hat und uns  alle einlaedt, mitzumachen! 

Wir hatten uns vor einiger Zeit darueber unterhalten, Souvenirs in MINI Form zu sammeln aus den Laendern der BlogFreunde...da es ja wahrscheinlich nie moeglich sein wird, sich im wirklichen Leben gegenseitig zu besuchen! Und nun hatte Jazzi die tolle Idee, eine kleine MINI JAZZI mit Koefferchen auf die grosse Weltreise zu schicken, damit wir uns alle gegenseitig "besuchen" koennen! Die Teilnahme ist ganz einfach...und so nett!! MiniJazzi kommt mit ihrem Koefferchen per Post bei uns an, wir duerfen uns ein MINI-Souvenir rausnehmen, und legen natuerlich wieder eins dazu, machen ein paar Erinnerungsfotos.....und schicken sie weiter auf die Reise! Im Koefferchen wird eine Adressen-Liste sein, da schauen wir dann nach, wohin wir sie weiterreisen lassen! 

Bis 30 August werden die Teilnehmeradressen gesammelt und dann gehts los mit der WELTREISE!!! 

Praline und Caramel koennen es kaum erwarten, MINI-Jazzi willkommen zu heissen!:)

London 2012...reminded me of happy times i spent in GB quite  many years ago- to be honest, more than 30...dear me...anyway!
I love the English tea...so , with 2 tiny tiny items i have odered and am waiting for, Praline will have herself a nice little tea-party soon!  :)
Concerning the opening ceremony ...to my mind, it is best to concentrate on what one liked..it is very subjective anyway!
So, I really admired and loved the idea of having "007" escorting the Queen ...respect to this great Lady for sharing humor and showing typical British understatement!
I loved the beauty of the athlets coming into the stadion, the colours and styles of their traditional costumes and outfits,  their proud faces holding their country's flag,  watching all these people from far-away countries.
young athlets paying tribut of honour and  hugging the former ones while bringing in the torch, "Hey Jude" in the very end..., the fireworks, the beautiful pictures of the torch in the speedboat on the Themse...
It is a wonderful celebration and one can only wish and hope that the true spirit of sports and fairness will be carried on through these days!

Englischer Tee, dazu ein nettes Lied! Praline wird bald eine kleine "Tee-party" machen, denn ich habe zwei winzig-kleine Sachen bestellt dazu..wo ich einfach nicht wiederstehen konnte! :)
Die London 2012 Eroeffnungsfeier... ich denke, am besten ist es ,das zu erwaehnen was einem gefallen hat!...Die Queen und OO7 ...einfach herrlich, und bewundernswert, dass sie das gemacht hat, finde ich! Der Einzug der vielen Sportler ...die traditionellen Trachten, so viele Farben und frohe Gesichter, der Stolz der Fahnentraeger, Feuerwerk und das olympische Feuer auf der Themse...viele schoene Eindruecke!

nicht viel zu zeigen momentan...es ist einfach zuuuuuuuuuu heiss diesen Sommer hier. es tut mir ja leid, dass viele von euch es so kalt haben /hatten und so viel Regen bei euch war1  Andererseits braucht ihr nicht von morgens bis abends schwitzen!!!! :) 
zwischendurch bin ich an mehreren kleinen Babyzimmerchen alsd Geschenke fuer Neugeborene(bis jetzt sind schon 3 unter unseren Freunden..:)

London 2012 Good Luck , and have wonderful games!

in 2004 the Olympic Games were held in Athens (...finally again after so many years...) and it was such a wonderful and happy time here! We all might argue about the too much money spent on all the fuss...i do, too,....but it is a special event with so many people coming together and peacefully joining in efforts and celebration. I only wish that the olympic spirit of peace and the OLYMPIC TRUCE  WOULD BE KEPT IN OUR DAYS ,TOO!!! The world would be a better place!
 I will never forget  seeing the torch being carried through our town,  the atmosphere inside and around the stadion, seeing the flame from our suburb in the north on Athens burning at the Olympia-Stadion ( unfortunately i don't have a foto ) , the fireworks, enthousiasm and joy. Athens was a changed city for those days...all working properly, people and drivers  well "behaving"  :) , not wishing to offend anybody...cleaning up everywhere, just in case some foreign athlet might come to their place....
...it was just magic all the time! Here is a little film ( well...not that little, it is an hour actually) summing up the Athens 2004 with all the best moemnts. you can move it further ...to find the scenes you like!

2004 fanden die Olympischen Spiele in Athen statt ( endlich wieder, nach so vielen Jahren...) und es waren so wunderbare, froehliche Tage damals! Alle regen wir uns ueber das viele Geld dafuer auf...ich auch...aber es war und bleibt ein besonderes Ereignis, wenn so viele menschen friedlich und froehlich zusammenkommen in allen Wettkaempfen und Feierlichkeiten. I ch wuenschte mir nur, dass die Olympische Waffenruhe auch heute eingehalten wuerde!!! Dann waer es besser auf der Erde!!
Unvergessen sind mir die verschiedenen Ereignisse, ich ich erleben konnte damals, die Fackel durch unsere Stadt, die Atmosphaere im Stadion und herum,das olympische Feuer, dass wir von unserer Vorstadt im Norden von Athen die ganze Tage durch brennen sehen konnten am Olympia-Stadion (leider habe ich davon kein Foto...) , Feuerwerk, Begeisterung und Freude! Athen war eine ganz andere Stadt waehrend der Spiele, alle Leute und -vorallem- die Autofahrer (!) "benahmen" sich gut, um bloss niemand vor den Kopf zu stossen...ueberall war saubergemacht worden, in jeder kleinsten Ecke, denn es koennte ja sein ,dass ein Sportler oder anderer Besucher  sich dorthin verirren...
