Letters to Santa...and led candles!

I had seen these led battery little lights on various sites...but always thought they might be too big for dollhouse purposes. Well i talked about it with a friend from a german dollhouse group, she suggested they would most probably do, she knows of people who do train modells and use them...so i finally got some ( to my surprise
very near in our town) ! They are actually used quite a lot here now in cafeterias, bars etc for decoration instead of real candels. The train-modelists breake away all plastics around and just keep the little led lamp....but one has to be quite an expert for that, in order not to break the whole thing!
Anyway...i wanted them to light up my santa box...as they are cheap comparing to dollhouse products and lights. These little led candels are 2.50 to 2.80 euro a pair!!  And i haven't yet found any small lights in 1:24. With my scenes i don't really measure what i am making and most of the times i end up with a size smaller than 1:12.
I made two extra little shelves for the santa box now, as the candles came into it after finishing :). I painted them with nail colour and glued some decoration on to them. They have a little switch for on/off. So , there is no use in putting them somewhere where one can't reach them. In a future box i will plan on where to put them from the
beginning..and make the proper place for them! One could also make holes in the walls /ceiling..and just push through the little light. The"flame" (plastic cover)  comes off, too,if one wants...and then there is only a
tiny little lamp! Thus the switch would be on the outside and the lamp could stay in the place! Lots of planning ahead!!! :)
I will try to take a picture..just with the candle-light, it is quite sufficient for dollhouse purposes! (but not easy to photograph! )  ........................
But..more important now...here is Santa's mail box! 
Caramel had many ideas on what to write to Santa! How fortunate he is to have friends to help him post the letter! The fun part is, you can put in a real-lifesized letter! 
Who knows how and when...but ...Santa will surely get it! :) There is a little bell to let him know that there's a new letter! 
The box is 23 cm high, 15 cm wide and 7 cm deep. It is for sale, little Santa comes in for free...it is a little plastic doll dressed up with a rather old and worn coat. But he is cute anyway! :) Rudolf is there ,too...he is a plastic toy., too. All other things are made by me.

Some time ago, Jaz from http://jazziminis.blogspot.gr/ had asked us to guess where Mini Jazzi would be going to next! Which is Molly,as you all now by now AND that MJ is having a tremendously exciting time in Africa right now!
Well, together with others, i had guessed right :) and today recieved a wonderful little parcel from Jaz!
That was  a wonderful wonderful joy and is HAPPY  No 1 for today!

Vor einiger Zeit hatte Jaz ein Ratespiel gemacht, wo Mini Jazzi wohl als naechstes hinfliegt! Das ist ja Molly in Amerika, wie wir mittlerweile alle wissen UND dass Mini Jazzi mit ihr zusammen eine ganz aufregende Reise nach Afrika macht! 
Zusammen mit anderen, hatte ich richtig geraten und heute kam ein Paeckchen von Jaz mit kleinen Geschenken an! Das war natuerlich eine riesige Freude und ist HAPPY Nr 1 fuer heute!

There are a toaster, a mixer and a water-cooker painted in pink specially for Praline! O, she simply adores them! Caramel got on the table ( just for this time!!! ) to be in the picture,too! :) Thanks so very very much dear Jaz! :)
Ein Toaster, ein Mixer, ein Wasserkocher, alles extra fuer Praline gestrichen! Natuerlich ist sie absolut begeistert! Und Caramel durfte ausnahmsweise auf den Tisch, um auch auf dem Foto zu sein!

 I can't get them away from it, they keep looking and looking again!
We keep remembering the wonderful time we had in August last year , with MJ's first stop here in Greece on her wonderful worldtrip!
It is unforgetable and such a beautiful memory!

Happy No 2 :
When walking to our office today, somebody had just thrown away THESE perfect pieces for building whatever! Of course i took them (all!!!)  , not knowing at that point that there where the gifts from Jaz waiting for me in the office already! :)
Als ich heute zu unserem Geschaeft ging, hatte gerade jemand dieses tolle "Baumaterial" weggeworfen! Habe ich natuerlich alles mitgenommen..und ich wusste ja auch noch nicht , dass heute Jaz Paeckchen schon im Geschaeft war!

ich weiss nicht, wie man das nennt, Architekten nehmen das fuer ihre Modelle...wunderbar! :) 

Which leads to HAPPY No3 ...because just a few days ago, i just couldn't resist at http://www.fourlittlewalls.com/ and had ordered some tiny tiny kitchen things! They also arrived today, and are absolutely the right and perfect size ( and with very affordable prices!!!)  , and they are ever so cute!...just as i had hoped them to be! Was zu HAPPY Nr 3 fuehrt...denn vor ein paar Tagen konnte ich nicht widerstehen und habe nochmal etwas Kleines bei http://www.fourlittlewalls.com/ bestellt, winzig kleine Kuechensachen! Die waren auch heute gekommen, und genauso wie ich sie mir vorgestellt hatte! (und zu sehr erschwinglichen Preisen!) Sind so suess, genau wie ich es erhofft hatte! Falls ihr die Internetseite nicht kennt, lohnt sich! Aussserdem gibts auch etwas Tolles dort zu gewinnen, nur noch ein paar Tage Zeit!

i will be back regularly this week...just HAVE to show you this!!! :) my sister remebered i so much wanted these...and i got them! :)
my other sister was with me for a week, we had a wonderful time- also did some work in the new house.., went to the Acropolis museum (which is just awesome..have to tell you more about it!!) , shed many tears today when she had to leave again...but that's life..!

ich hoffe, in diesewr Woche wieder regelmaessig hier zu sein!...aber DAS musste ich euch doch schnell zeigen! :) meine Schwester hat doch zu meinem geburtstaf dran gedacht, sie wusste, wie sehr ich mir so ein  (nun sind's zwei) Laempchen gewuenscht habe! Meine aeltere Schwester war ein Woche bei mir, wir hatten wunderschoene und volle Tage, ein Besuch im Akropolis Museum ( worueber ich noch mehr erzaehelen werde- absolut toll!), wir haben auch einiges in der neuen Wohnung geschafft, und heute einige Traenchen vergossen, da sie wieder weg musste...aber so ist das Leben!

echte Ziegelsteine und Moertel...Es handelt sich um "Spielzeug"....aber das sieht mir auch zum "Haus Bauen" recht nuetzlich aus! :)

Some years ago these bricks were found in Holland in the supermarket as childrens toys. It workes wonderful, it is a bit large for scale 1:12. But very useful to build some garden miniatures, like a bbq.

Ilona (unten in den Kommentaren ist ihr blog) kennt diese Steinchen etc und sagt:

Es gab das als Kinderspielzeug in Holland. Ist toll zu bearbeiten, aber etwas zu gross fuer 1:12. Kann aber prima fuer z.B. "Garten-bau", und weiteres benutzt werden!

Praline's friend got hungry! ....Pralines Freund hat Hunger!

So he decided to cook...:)  His hat might be a bit too big...but he looks so cute! Praline also made aprons for both of them!
Also hat er beschlossen ...zu kochen! :)  Seine Kochmuetze ist einbisschen zu gross geworden, aber er sieht so niedlich damit aus! Und Praline hat fuer beide auch die Schuerzen genaeht!

And Praline made some Jeans for him...

Late in the evening they also decided to start a new enterprise!! They will be making dollhouse-kitchen-shelfs and other  ittems!!! It was late and they should have been in bed...but had to take a picture! They also have plans for their own little cookbooks...as the ones you see are designed by others and it would not be correct to sell them!
Und spaet am Abend haben sie dann beschlossen, dass sie Puppenhaus-Kuechen-Regale und andere Sachen machen werden! Sie haetten ja eigentlich schon im Bett sein sollen...aber Fotos mussten sie noch machen! Ausserdem planen sie ihre eigenen Entwuerfe fuer Kochbuecher, denn die, die ihr seht, sind ja von anderen und es waere nicht korrekt,sie zu verkaufen!
