right size for Caramel! die richtige Groesse fuer Caramel!

i "met" a German lady through a facebook-group about minis. She was looking for somebody to make an old stove for her in 1:24 ! I offered to give it a try...also having in mind, that if she might like something more professional or different...Caramel will be very happy to have his "right-size" kitchen! As you can see...he has already started making cookies! :) 

These old stoves are called "Kachelofen or Kachelherd" in German, meaning "stoves/cookers with tiles" , they were very common in older days- perhaps still are in many houses today, more modern , but still ever so cosy and comfortable! I am sure all Dutch and Scandinavian friends here will know! :) 

As i said, this is a first try, also first time i tried making something so very small. I had found the measuring of a real one , which was 1 meter 55cm in height,1 meter 45 cm broad,  stove and heater together...so i scaled that down to approximately 6,5 cm high. Originally these pieces are "stuck" together..but i preferred to make them seperately in order to see in which way they look better!  How good that in a dollhouse you don't have to be so strict about the oven-pipes! :) 

The "tiles" i composed after having found pictures on the internet, and printed some sheets...seperate "real tiles" will look nicer of course! 

Now..1:24 is really small...even my smallest "cook-book" looks large here! :) 

There are many tiny details still missing...but i just had to show you! :) 

just in order to compare the sizes, 1:12 and 1:24 !

Caramel's new outfit! Caramels neue Ausstattung!

Caramel loves his hat, put on his boots...but looks quite different from "Paddington" now! Never mind..i think, he wants a suitcase ,too ! He has made plans for next winter!

Starting the "boots" they all had some fun looking through the things to use. we had Monika's tutorial in mind ( from http://puppenstubennostalgie.blogspot.gr/ ) about rubber wellingtons...but we ended up with another "style"...Caramel's legs are not as small as they show! :) And i wanted his boots to come off and on!

Jacke, Stiefel, Hut...und Caramel! Jacket, Boots , hat ..and Caramel!

a small traveler? ein kleiner Reisender? 

Caramel gefaellt sein Hut, er hat auch seine Stiefel angezogen...aber er sieht doch nicht so ganz wie "Paddington" aus! Ist aber nicht schlimm...ich glaube er braucht ein Koefferchen! Er da so einige Plaene fuer naechsten Winter! 

Beim Aussuchen und Durchsuchen des Materials gab's einiges an Spass fuer Alle...eigentlich wollte ich Monikas Anleitungen fuer Gummistiefel nehmen ( http://puppenstubennostalgie.blogspot.gr/ )...aber dann wurde es doch ein anderer "Stil" ..denn Caramels Beinchen sind garnicht so schmal und klein ,wie es vielleicht aussieht! :) Ausserdem soll er ja seine Stiefel an-und ausziehen koennen!

continuing from when i wrote about the books for Ilona...today you can see some Italian cooking books and some more old dollhouse-cookbooks! ( and a funny magnet..a little sun!!! ..which was a present to me by my youngest quite some time ago..i love it and it is always on the door of the fridge!

..weiter gehts von da ab wo ich ueber Ilonas Buechlein aufhoerte! ...heute gibt's Italienische Kueche :) ...und noch ein paar alte oder neuere Puppenstuben-Puppenkochbuecher!

little suprises for dear blog-friends! Kleine Ueberraschungen fuer liebe Blog-Freunde!

Some posts ago..you could guess about an old childrens' cookbook, yes the "Dr. Oetker" book! It was so nice for me that several of you participated in the little game and i had promised mini-books to all of you as a thank-you gift! Today i can start showing you some...as Ilona from http://minimumloon.blogspot.gr has already got hers! All others still have to wait a just a few more days ...but there was a strike here with the post-office and i could not send all letters at the same time :( 

I had told Ilona that she could choose what she wanted and then via emails, she sent me two book-covers she would like me to make for her...so here we are! I made them small, smaller and very small ( also learning the pc-programms now!!! :) ...and finally the very small ones are the best for her! I also found some more old cook-book covers from the Netherlands ! ..and now see, that i forgot to send you one more, Ilona!!! Haha..the mailman will have to come to you again!!! :) 

Ilona is very lucky you should know.....as her son is her mailman,too...so she had a special delivery today ,late afternoon in ice and snow!! ! She will tell you the funny story on her blog! 

Vor einiger Zeit gings um das kleine "Dr.Oetker" Kinder-Kochbuch und einige von euch hatten ja an meinem kleinen Ratespiel mitgemacht! Dabei habe ich euch kleine Mini-Buch-Ueberaschungen versprochen...heute kann ich euch Ilonas von http://minimumloon.blogspot.gr  zeigen, denn sie hat ihre schon bekommen. Ihr restlichen Lieben..muesst nur noch ein paar Tage warten leider, denn die Post hat gestreikt und ich konnte noch nicht alles versenden :( 

Ilona konnte sich aussuchen, was sie gern haben moechte und ueber email kam sie dann auf die Idee, ob ich ihr Buechlein machen kann von Titeln ,die sie schickt! Das haben wir auch gemacht, ich habe eine kleine, kleinere und ganz kleine Version gemacht...und die ganz Kleine ist total richtig fuer sie! Dazu hab ich noch ein paar andere alte hollaendische Kochbuecher gefunden im Internet. Haha..Ilona, der Brieftraeger muss nochmal zu dir kommen..ich sehe gerade auf dem Foto..ich habe ein Buechlein vergessen zu schicken! :) 

Ihr muesst naemlich wissen, Ilona hat Riesenglueck....denn der Postbote ist ihr Sohn! Und er hat heute am spaeten Nachmittag  im hollaendischen Eis und Schnee den Brief uebergeben! Sie wird selber auf ihrem Blog darueber schreiben..es ist zu nett!

Ein besonderer Eintrag heute zum Auftakt der Wahlcampanie fuer Jazzi von http://jazziminis.blogspot.com.au/

Seit einigen Jahren gibt es eine Blog-Leser-Aktion zur Wahl des besten Miniaturen-Blogs des Jahres! 

Dieses Jahr ist unteranderen zum ersten Mal ein Blog dabei..wo es vielleicht nicht um die absolut perfekten Minis geht...aber um Herzenswaerme, Grosszueigkeit, Froehlichkeit, tolle selbstgemachte Minis und die Faehigkeit, internationale Blog-Leser/Freunde miteinander in Verbindung zu bringen! 

Das ist Jaz aus Australien mit ihrem Blog! Ich lernte sie ueber einen Kommentar auf einem anderen Blog kennen, wir schrieben einige Emails hin und her...und sind schon lange jetzt richtig gute Freundinnen und Herzensschwestern geworden! 

Ihr werdet euch an MINI-Jazzi erinnern, das huebsche Pueppchen, dass um die Welt reist und Blogfreunde besucht? Das ist im August 2012 von Jaz losgeschickt, nachdem wir immer wieder mal drarueber traurig waren, dass es wohl nur schwer klappen wird, sich persoenlich zu besuchen! Die vielen Kilometer , die teuren Reisen, Verpflichtungen ,die wir ja alle haben neben den Miniaturen .....so ging MINI Jazzi auf die Reise in ihrer Kofferschachtel, samt winzigkleinem Pass, Schuhen, Waesche und Morgenmantel ...und kam als erstes zu mir! Weiter unten sind nochmal ein paar Fotos zu sehen von ihrem Besuch hier in Athen! 

..Nun zum Waehlen! Dieser Wahlvorgang geht taeglich (alle 24 Stunden kann man erneut waehlen!!! NICHT VERGESSEN!!!!) bis zum 19. Maerz.

I met Jaz through a comment she had left on another blog, concerning some medical issue at that time...about which .i was very interested in,too! We started emailing..and soon became close friends and even sisters at heart! The voting for the best mini-blog has been done for some years now and this year it is the first time for an Australian blog to be nominated! All nominated blogs are really wonderful....but Jaz's is special ! There is so much fun there, Creativity, warmth and generosity and the wonderful effort of connecting blog-friends! The Monday-Link-Parties...and :  Remember Mini-Jazzi on her worldtrip? This was Jaz's idea, after we had been sad quite often about not being able to visit each other in real!
