remember the challenge Rena from http://diaheiros.blogspot.com/2012/01/blog-post.html ( it is in greek, but with the translator you will understand the point!!) called for on January 1st?
Her aim was to have blog-friends take an old drawer and make something with it!!!
The participation grew bigger month by month and day by day...and now there are 143 drawers ready to go to an exhibition ( and charity sale) in Thessaloniki!
You can see them all here! ..just scroll down in the post!

This is the exhibition poster:
the exhibition is taking place in an art/cultural center called Moni Lasariston in Thessaloniki
( http://www.monilazariston.gr ) where theatre, exhibitions and cultural events take place !
The charity purpose is for cancer patients in northern Greece!
Rena did a wonderful job ( and had a LOT of work) with organizing all this, and it is really worthwhile taking a look at the 115 ( today's number...might still be increasing!!!) drawers!
I am taking part with "Sand of time"..as i had posted some time ago!
http://mikropragmatakia.blogspot.com/2012/01/sand-of-time-and-pieces-of-life-sand.html
It is difficult to choose which one might be my favorite one...all are just wonderful with ever so many ideas! But I was most overwhelmed and really moved by the idea of number 30, where the drawer was transformed into the "Aegean sea" and a "simple" musical (real working!!) instrument , a "Santouri" in Greek, which is a Zither!

this a Zither. ορ "Santouri" ..( perhaps you might not know :) |
you can see that drawer in the link above - number 30- or at the blog of Faidra who made it!!
There is also a beautiful little video from the opening ceremony of the Olympic games in Athens 2004 where a very talented little girl sings a traditional song from the Aegean Sea playing the Santouri"!
I am sure, Rena will take a lot of pictures of the exhibition...and i will of course ask her permission to post some here!
Would be wonderful to go there...:)
